Digital ID? Bulk Mailer

Not even sure what I'm doing here, but I'm at my wits end and would
appreciate any help anyone can give me.

I am new to Vista.

1 - It says I need a Digital ID to be able to send out of Windows Mail. How
do I get that set up and where?

2 - I have a Bulk Mailer SmartSerialMail that ran wonderfully with my
Outlook Express. My ISP had no problems allowing its use. I create new leads
for a business I run and am seriously debilitated if I can't get this up and
running again.

3 - my HP-Notebook doesn't recognize the wireless router device as existing

4 - The Bluetooth device sold to me by Circuit City/Firedog, crashed my
computer 2 seconds after the Firedog guy left. As it turns out its not Vista
compatible.

All that said... does anyone know how or where I can go to accomplish these
things. I'll hire a computer guy to get the router and laptop and my
networking, if I can just figure out how to set up a digital ID.

I'm sorry to sound so stupid, I'm just completely lost with Vista. And I'm
not speaking to CC/Firedog anymore.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Re: Digital ID? Bulk Mailer

As far as SmartSerialMail, you will need to contact the maker
http://www.jam-software.com/smartserialmail/index.shtml
and ask them if they have a Vista compatible version.

You don't need a Digital ID to send mail. Go to Tools, Options, Security
and make sure the bottom two boxes are unchecked.

I won't address your non-mail issues as those are better handled in
other newsgroups where experts for those issues hang out.

Re: Digital ID? Bulk Mailer

THANK YOU!! I'll do that.

Not sure I know where to go, but I appreciate this help.

now if I can just figure out pop servers, smtp's again, my 14 yr old
computer was a lot easier for me to figure out.

Maybe Vista just has me gunshy..

But Thank you for this help and direction.

You get the server names from whoever supplies the mail account.
