Vista - MS Outlook won't remember password

My partner has to enter his password every time he opens MS Outlook to access
his emails. We have a Sony Vaio VGN-SZ4 with MS Office 2002 and Vista. He
has tried to save his password but it won't save it in any of the settings.
I use Windows Mail and don't have this problem. We have contacted our
internet service provider and they can't seem to fix the problem. We didn't
have this problem with our old laptop.

This is a known problem with Outlook XP (2002) and Vista. It is not
expected to be fixed. See this link for details:
