attachments - how to open

i hope that windows mail in in the beta phase, because if this is as good as
it gets then i'm wasting alot of energy.

anyway, one immediate query: how do i open the attachments?!!

Click on the paper clip.

BTW there is a tab on the top bar of Windows Mail labeled Help.
Questions such as yours can usually be answered by that facility.

actually, I thought of that; that method does not appear to work.

I also pursued this by the help facility. that did not prove fruitful,
either.

have you ever succeeded in opening a windows mail attachment? i ask because
i'm wondering whether i'm the only one having this problem.

Save them first to disk and then scan them for viruses before opening them.

Also if you have McAfee or Norton, uninstall them and get something less
intrusive, as they apparently block the ability to save attachments, as some
have reported here.

Then check Tools | Options | Security and see if saving attachments is
blocked.

That's odd.
In Windows Mail I just clicked help & typed a search term of "attachments".
The 1st link answers your question.
