| | Re: Orange technical suggest downloading outlook express You cannot install OE6 in Windows Vista. Your choices are: a) work with us to resolve your issue, or b) switch to an alternate email program such as the free Mozilla Thunderbird: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/ Gary VanderMolen "terry6082" <terry6082@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:7070A399-7C90-415F-93E1-859E3DC67BE4@microsoft.com... > Orange ISP technical suggest downloading outlook express as my windows mail > can send but not receive e mail. | | Re: Orange technical suggest downloading outlook express Just as I suspected, your issue is not mail client related. Do you get any sort of error message when you try to receive mail? If no error message, can you give us the name of the incoming mail server, and any special ports or settings? Is it a former dial-up account and you now use BB? -- Regards Steve. MS-MVP. OE. [DTS] |

| | RE: Orange technical suggest downloading outlook express I have a win 98 pc next to this vista pc, both on BB. The w98 is fine with e mail. I checked all the settings were the same on both PC's but I will check again to see if there is any difference. I hadc to do a system restore on the vista pc. Could that have blocked port 110?
