I cannot receive email

Account: 'Verizon Yahoo!', Server: 'incoming.yahoo.verizon.net', Protocol:
POP3, Server Response: '-ERR popgate unknown command', Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18

I receive this message whenever I click "Send/Receive".
I have set up my account exactly like it was in XP.
I can send emails but cannot receive.
What should I do?

Re: I cannot receive email

Your antivirus program is interfering with email retrieval.
Read http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3
Then uninstall your antivirus program, reboot, and try WinMail
again. After you get your email working, you will need to install
a non-intrusive antivirus program such as the free AVG or Avast.
Whichever antivirus you select, be sure to NOT enable the email
scanning option.

Re: I cannot receive email

I'm not familiar with Yahoo mail, but it looks like if you have the free
email, then it is only http-based, and you cannot use Windows Mail, like you
did with Outlook Express.

If you have the premium (paid) service, then it looks like you can access
your mail thru their POP server
