| | How do you set the default view for WinMail? When my Windows Mail starts up it has 3 items in the left pane: Local Folders with Inbox Outbox Sent Deleted etc Microsoft Communities with all the Vista newsgroups (like this one!) My local ISP Newsgroups with my subscribed newsgroups It starts with all 3 items exploded, but as I dont use WinMail FOR mail, I'd like that item 'shrunk' to just the heading and only Microsoft Communites and Local ISP Newsgroups expanded so I can see their relevant contents (Subscriptions) only. IS that possible? Tks for any help Rgds Rod Perth |

| | Re: How do you set the default view for WinMail? Nope, that window pane can't be separated. About all you can do is collapse the Local Folder and uncheck Tools | Options | General tab "Automatically display folders with unread messages". It "should" stay collapsed each time you start it if it's in the collapsed state when shutdown. But I wouldn't lace any bets in Vegas on it.
