| | Creating a new Group for my Business Contacts Ok, I have spoke with 3 tech supporters and I still can not figure this out. I am a vendor at trade shows, and I get email contacts from each one, for example, UNF is one event I do, JEA is a different event. I do not have time to enter the info. at my shop. I have bellsouth and outlook express at my shop and I have Comcast and Windows mail at my home. I want to enter the info. at my home and export it to my shop. I have tried to download outlook express to my computer at home, but it is not letting me download it. I dont know if it is because I have vista windows or what. Can someone help me figure this out? One tech said I might have to get a flash card and download it to that, and take it to the shop to download it. I would like to be able to just export it! -- Mandy ![]() |

| | Re: Creating a new Group for my Business Contacts 1st, why use a free e-mail program for a business????? Outlook Express will not work in Windows Vista. Export Windows Vista Contacts as a Comma Separated Values text file and import that into Outlook Express Address Book. | | Re: Creating a new Group for my Business Contacts Outlook Express is not a free email that I use, I pay for it with my bellsouth account at my shop. I was going to download it to my home computer so that I can export my address book to my shop. I spoke with a tech on the phone and he told me that Windows Mail will not let me export my address book to OE, and that I had to download OE on my home computer to export the address book, I wouldn't use it for anything else. I did find how to create a group in Windows Mail, go to tools, windows contacts, and create a group, but I feel real dumb because I can not figure out how to send an email out of that group. The group does not show up in my Windows Mail...ugggggg, I am so frustrated over this! -- Mandy ![]() "Ron Sommer" wrote: > Windows Mail does not have groups of Contacts. > Export your current contacts to a csv file. > Delete all of your contacts. > Enter the contacts for one event. > Export the contacts to a csv file. > Delete all of your contacts. > Enter the contacts for the second event. > Export the contacts to a csv file. > Delete all of your contacts. > Enter the contacts for the third event. > Export the contacts to a csv file. > Delete all of your contacts. > Import the original contacts. > -- > Ronald Sommer > > "Mandy" <puttnontheritz@bellsouth.net> wrote in message > news:F98F2F93-C0DF-45F4-8F40-54375E896A67@microsoft.com... > : Ok, I have spoke with 3 tech supporters and I still can not figure this > out. > : I am a vendor at trade shows, and I get email contacts from each one, for > : example, > : UNF is one event I do, JEA is a different event. > : I do not have time to enter the info. at my shop. | | Re: Creating a new Group for my Business Contacts Outlook Express is included with Internet Explorer (before IE 7). IE and Outlook Express have always been a free download. You can't download OE, because it comes with IE6. You already have IE7 with Vista. Do you have Excel or a spreadsheet program? You could keep the mailing lists in a csv files or a spreadsheet files. You can't export to OE, but you can export to a csv file. OE will import from a csv file. This is from a previous post: -- Ronald Sommer Note: What this gets you is an all-or-nothing mailing list. You can't (on the spur of the moment) delete one of the members of a group.
