Is Windows Mail in Vista going to be phased out?

Is this true?

"(So, what was Windows Live Mail is now Windows Live Hotmail, and Windows
Live Mail desktop is now Windows Live Mail, and Outlook Express and Windows
Mail (in Vista) are being phased out."

Got it from here

First, I never believe what I see in blogs.
Second, this whole "Live" nonsense is nothing but a way to put more
advertising on your computer.
Third, anyone who accepts mail from freemail sources is a fool.

You can't get more official than a Microsoft press release:
http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/p...lLaunchPR.mspx

Well, I will believe the Official MS press release...at least as much as
press releases can be believed.

I tried Window Live Mail Desktop...for one day. I uninstalled it. I
would use Windows Mail if it had OpenPGP support. I've used Outlook
2003 and Thunderbird because they do their jobs well. I see no need for
an email service that forces me to either buy a premium service or be
bombarded with advertising. I have never seen a need for any of the
free email services such as hotmail, gmail, etc. I've never seen the
need for web mail since I always have an email client on any computer or
PDA I use, and if you think I am stupid enough to enter a user name and
password on a public computer which can log keystrokes, guess again.

If MS actually tries to push people into this kind of thing and actually
phase out pure email clients, I will use someone else's product.

I tried Live Messenger for one day and then went back to Trillian.

Did I mention that I discard text messages from my cell phone without
ever reading them? Thought I'd better add some perspective. ;-)
