    Send/Receive

    Why do you have to hit send/receive evrytime to retrieve emails that are sent
    to you. I am using POP3 mail server to acces my emails. In the past when
    using Outlook I didn't have to hit send/receive everytime I wanted to
    retreive my email messages. Any thoughts or suggestions?

    Hi Christian,

    You shouldn't have to, unless you just wanted to check manually. Check these settings in Windows Mail to see if you have them activated:

    1. open Windows Mail
    2. click on TOOLS
    3. click on OPTIONS
    4. Under General tab make sure you have the following checked :
    A) "Send and Receive messages at startup" (Windows Mail startup)
    B) "Check for new messages every ..." (However often you would like)
    5. click OK to apply
