| | Re: Can recieve mail but cannot send The error you're experiencing is almost certainly caused by your antivirus program. Read http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 Then uninstall your antivirus program, reboot, and try WinMail again. After you get your email working, you will need to install a non-intrusive antivirus program such as the free Avast. Whichever antivirus you select, be sure to NOT enable the email scanning option. | | Re: Can recieve mail but cannot send Gary, I tried everything even turning off the NAV still didnt work, I then looked on my old laptop settings in OE and changed the port settings in WM to (outgoing mail to 443)and it immediately solved the problem. The issue is, however why do I have inconsistent problems, it just fails out of no-where....??? | | Re: Can recieve mail but cannot send I am not familiar with your mail provider, e-hpssales.com, or what ports its mail server uses. Port 443 is certainly non-standard. As far as "turning off the NAV", it is not clear what you mean by that (turned off mail scanning, uninstalled the program?). Many NAV users report no relief of symptoms until the program was completely uninstalled.
