Find function does not find messages containing text.

Windows' Mail 'Find' function does not find mail containing %some_text%.

Right clicked on 'Inbox', selected 'Find...', in the 'Message:' field typed
some string that is contained within the e-mail, clicked on 'Find Now',
however no e-mail containing string searched for was found.

Thanks in advance for suggestions

Peter

Hi peter,

If the E-mail's text is a actually a picture file with text in it, then the find will not work on that. Spammers like to do this to foil the search inside a message filter. If it actually is text your searching through, then sorry I don't know.

Hope this helps some,
Shawn

Re: Find function does not find messages containing text.

Make sure you have "Show All Messages" selected for the folder
you are searching.
