Vista - setting windows w/verizon

i got my pop3 and smtp server names from verizon typed the information in the
fields plus my username and password even though i don't need password to
send e-mail. I still can't send e-mails but when i set up the account like
explained above windows mail downloaded all my e-mails from my verizon mail
account wich gives me the idea that windows mail knows and can connect to my
verizon mail but gives me error messages and doesn't send. (contacted verizon
they said they could help me with outlook wich they helped me with last time
it happened to me but says they cant now with windows mail because they don't
have information on it,i guess it's to new for them) SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!

Just tell Verizon you are using Outlook Express on Windows XP.
The email account settings are identical.
It would be most helpful if you copied the error message and posted
it here.
