Vista - italian dictionary

italian dictionary

hello, i fear i messed up here... trying to fix a problem... i now realize my
windows vista mail does not have an italian dictionary for spell checking. is
this normal? or if i have damaged my software, is there a way to fix this?

No, at least I don't think so.

I believe the spell checking only works for...

English(USA,) French, Spain and German

The only option is to edit the UserDictionary.lex file in the message store
and insert Italian words into that.

oh dear, are you telling me these dudes up there at MS corportion haven't
thought of us italians? this is ridiculous, they could have adapted other
dictionaries to fit the formats for windows mail, couldn't they? For the
price it costs, the italians could have had some help in checking their
spelling errors. Down with MS

BTW Are there many differences between Aus and UK English?

damn it's even a free source on the web, yet MS mail doesn't have it.......
why i am very curious about this strange choise they made...... to force all
italians to buy the new MS outlook?

None in written English that I can think of offhand. Expressions, as well as
accents, will always be different, even within the same country. Of course
many Poms can't understand their neighboUrs from 20 Kms away!

We used to have gaols, now we have jails. Perhaps they will become jailz.

I'd be surprised if business in the UK, here and other countries doesn't see
this as a serious issue. If I were still in the work force, it would be
enough for me to, at least, be looking for alternatives.

I believe Italian is included in Windows Live Mail.
