Windows Mail - which is the folder that the emails are stored?

In Outlook Express, emails are stored in the identities folder. Where are
the emails stored in Windows Mail so that I can copy this folder for backup
and use it for import when I need to reinstall my windows vista?

Re: Windows Mail - which is the folder that the emails are stored?

Thanks, Dave. In Outlook Express, I only need to click on this file and it
shows the various inbox, sent, etc files but it does not do this now under
windows mail. How can I see these details as I would like to know which file
is for which email account by the size of the inbox folder.

Drill down. You'll get there.

Re: Windows Mail - which is the folder that the emails are stored?

Drilled into the wrong accounts (the ones that looked like identities
accounts). For all reading, the correct final account is "Local Folders".
Thanks all.
