| Guest | Re: Windows Mail (Not Responding) See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#1 and that probably won't help so see #3 which may or may not. If it doesn't then try uninstally you AV software completely and many have reported that that has resolved the problem. Then get a less invasive AV product. steve "bamabridges" <bamabridges@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:7F097F69-CBC1-47B0-AEE6-D86B315423B4@microsoft.com... > I cannot open any attachments in Windows Mail. | Guest | Re: Windows Mail (Not Responding) I don't think you understand the problem. It isn't security stopping the attachment from being opened. The Windows Mail program just stops working completely. It has to be shut down and restarted. When I click on the red "X", it tries to look for a solution for the problem. Of course, there doesn't seem to be one. I don't get any message after that. No message about security not allowing the attachment to be opened. -- bamabridges "RRShaver" wrote: > In Windows Mail go to Tools, Options, Security and uncheck > > "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a > virus." > > > > "bamabridges" <bamabridges@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:7F097F69-CBC1-47B0-AEE6-D86B315423B4@microsoft.com... > > I cannot open any attachments in Windows Mail.
