Vista - cant export msgs to outlook - error initializing mapi

I have given up on windows mail - too many times I have had to reset it
because msgs cant be deleted.

I need to export my msgs to outlook but I get the error 'The export could
not be performed. An error occured initializing MAPI' when I try.

Does nothing in this crappy app work?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Well is Outlook on the machine or not?

It needs Outlook on the machine so that it has a reference to use. You're
telling it you want to export your emails in an Outlook format. Well, it
needs to reference Outlook to do it.

Is Outlook there or not?

not yet - I'll install outlook and try again
