| | Can't send e-mail we have Vista Home premium and Comcast e-mail. we can receive our e-mails but can not send. They just stay in the outbox of Windows Mail. We have worked w/ Comcast techs and all our settings are correct. Is there a fix? |

POP3 (Incoming Mail) Server: mail.comcast.net SMTP (Outgoing Mail) Server: smtp.comcast.net Your E-Mail address: e-mail ID@comcast.net News Groups: netnews.comcast.net Port settings when on the Network: POP port 110 and SMTP port 25 SSL(Port settings when traveling): POP port 995 and SMTP port 465 Consider http://get.live.com/betas/maildesktop_betas |

(otherwise you will not have the function you need) If Windows Mail is open, or if a current WinMail.exe process is running, the Database functions are disabled, and the WinMail.exe process must be terminated before these features can become available. | | Re: Can't send e-mail Dave, I and several other people have had the same problem. Go to www.oehelp.com/wmutil and download Steve Cochran's utility. Then use the utility (after unzipping) to compact your e-mail and the problem will go away. It worked for me. Good luck.
