Windows Mail, like Outlook Express, requires Outlook's "plumbing" in order to access the Outlook Personal Folders (.PST) file. | | Re: Windows mail to office outlook 2003 Sorry to revive an older thread - but... I also wish to revert back from Windows Mail that comes with Vista to Outlook 2003. (Windows mail and calander just don't do Blackberry!) I have Office 2003 (including Outlook) installed on the same Vista maching as Windows Mail and when I Go to export to Exchange... all I get is the Mapi initialization error! It's very frustrating! I have seen a lot of posts all over the net with this problem but nobody seems to have the solution. I keep hearing that Windows Mail cannot find Outlook's "plumbing" - but I even placed the outlook install directory in the path to no avail... Has anyone got a solution to solve this please?
