The first e-mail in my inbox opens as soon as I open the inbox , even if is
previously unopened. Worried about possible malicious mail being opened
automatically. Can anyone help please ?

Re: Inbox

Hi mokkkkk,

No need to worry, it's just a preview pane. If you want to turn it off anyway, then:
1. Click on View. (In Windows Mail at top)
2. Click Layout.
3. Uncheck "Show Preview Pane" and click OK

Hope this helps,
Shawn

It's not really a problem if you still have the default settings, but go to
View Layout and turn off the Preview Pane. You can add the Preview button
to the toolbar to toggle the Preview Pane on and off.

Re: Inbox

Hi Mokkkkk,

Yes, you can add the icon to the toolbar like Frank suggests. Here's how if you don't know:

1. Right click on the toolbar (Blue bar at top in Windows Mail)
2. Click Customize.
3. Click the Preview icon in left pane.
4. Click ADD button in middle
5. Click Close

That's it,
Shawn
