Unread messages in newsgroups

How come the number of unread messages in a newsgroup doesn't get updated a lot of times until I select the newsgroup. Is there a setting I forgot to apply?

Also under Outlook express I used to be able to customize the icon bar. Can I do that now?

Re: Unread messages in newsgroups

if you SYNC the news group, the count is displayed.
it it not updated will you actually go to that news group.

just right click on tool bar and select CUSTOMIZE.

Re: Unread messages in newsgroups

Actually I should have clarified. This is under Windows Live Mail. None of that works in Windows Live mail. It works under Outlook Express.

You can't customize the toolbar in Windows Live Mail.

Re: Unread messages in newsgroups

Yes, it is. It's the same crap that Microsoft did to Vista's
Windows Explorer.

One of several reasons that I don't use Windows Live Mail.
