| | Want Office/Access 2007 to Send Email via Outlook Express I have Access code that sends an email. It has always sent the email using Outlook Express. But now that I've upgraded to Office 2007 and Vista, the same operation pops up a message saying I have created any profiles. It then appears to want me to define email profiles for Office and Outlook. But the Outlook Express replacement, Microsoft Mail is what I want to use. And I certainly don't want to have to enter my email info in yet another place. Is there no way to have Access send an email via Microsoft Mail rather than Outlook? Thanks. -- Jonathan Wood SoftCircuits Programming http://www.softcircuits.com |

Take a look in Control Panel / Default Programs. You should be able to change the default mail program there |

| | Re: Want Office/Access 2007 to Send Email via Outlook Express From another post: -- Ronald Sommer This is a known "feature" of Outlook in that it takes over as default whenever you have an update. See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#13 Go to Control Panel | Default Programs and make WinMail default next time and that should fix it. steve "Jonathan Wood" <jwood@softcircuits.com> wrote in message news:uE030FyqHHA.4132@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... :I have Access code that sends an email.
