Password and Account Information Doesn't save

I am using Vista Home Premium. In Windows Mail I can not get the program to
store account login information. I have tried going to Accounts and setting
the information in properties. I check the save information.

Did explore the internet and found a suggestion to delete the list of
numbers in Protected Storage System Provider using Regedit but Vista won’t
let me do this. I am signed on as account administrator. Any new
suggestions?? Many thanks in advance.

Re: Password and Account Information Doesn't save

Had the same issues a few weeks ago - I finally attempted to disable
UAC and it worked.

Turn UAC off, then go in and set all your passwords - then go back and
turn UAC back on.

See if that works for you too.

Thanks Much but that didn't work. Any other ideas? I've tried every trick
I can think of to make this work. RD

Re: Password and Account Information Doesn't save

As a test, uninstall your antivirus program, reboot, then
create a new mail account in Windows Mail, using the same
settings as the old account, then delete the old account.
See if the password is remembered now.

AFAIK, Vista does not have Protected Storage System
that was in Windows XP, which is why Outlook 2002
won't remember passwords in Vista.
