| | Cannot start new message. When I click on new message the square appears in white and then freezes up the program. After this occurs Windows Mail will either completely restart or pop up with an error acknowledgement and then restart. Is there a way to correct this proble, reinstall windows mail, or something? All searches for the answer have been fruitless. |

It provides no protection not provided by the regular resident protection. Beside that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM Do not send mail. |

The only time I recieve an error is when I try to compose a new e-mail and click on the button. At first we thought that somehow there was a way around it but once he had to enter in his information it began to freeze again. Any insight would be most helpful. |

| | Re: Cannot start new message. Sounds like your WLM is 'hosed' (technical term). I'd suggest installing its replacement, Windows Live Mail: http://get.live.com/betas/maildesktop_betas Gary VanderMolen "Digital_Mike" <DigitalMike@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:21F68CA1-0198-4777-960A-7193E025D44F@microsoft.com... > > The email scanning has been disabled and removed completely. Are you using Norton or McAfee? What anti-virus program? -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM Do not send mail. |
