What's going on here???

I have these two spam emails that got sent to my Junk E-mail folder, but I
can't delete them. I keep getting this "unknown error" message. Why can't I
delete them?

If you are not willing to just ignore them, the only way is to delete both
copies of the database (which does not contain the messages, but only
references to them) and let WinMail rebuild it.
First close WinMail, then use Task Manager to make sure there are no
instances of it under applications or processes.
Then click Start | Search | Advanced Search
Check the box to include non-indexed, hidden and system files.
In the Name field type WindowsMail.MSMessageStore and click the Search
button.
It should show you two copies. Delete both of them and re-open WinMail.
WinMail will work in the background and recover all of the messages that are
really there.

Re: What's going on here???

Your email programs on your desktop & laptop are both set to delete mail on
the server after downloading.
Change both of them to leave the messages on the server, but set it to
delete after xx days.

Re: What's going on here???

To ensure both computers get the same mail, go into Tools, Accounts,
select the account, Properties, Advanced, check the box "Leave a copy of
messages on the server." Also check the box "Remove from server after X
days" where X is the maximum number of days that could elapse between
downloading on both computers. Do this on both computers.

Incidentally, there is no point in bringing up matters unrelated to the
immediate problem. It just clouds the issue.
