Importing emails into Windows Mail from Outlook Express

I just purchased a new laptop and I am now running Windows Mail. I was using
my wife's laptop previously and all of my business emails were being accessed
using Outlook Express. I cannot figure out exactly how to import my messages
from the hard-drive on my wife's laptop to my new computer. My former email
account used a different email address and I mention that because I don't
know if that will complicate the whole process. Any help would be
appreciated as I am about to pull what little hair I have left, out!!

Re: Importing emails into Windows Mail from Outlook Express

Hal,

I have one additional question for you...Can I do the same thing with my
contacts? Is there a link that you might be able to provide to allow me to
do the same thing?

Best regards,

John

Re: Importing emails into Windows Mail from Outlook Express

OE contacts are held in a Windows Address Book ([username].wab) file. Copy
this file to your Vista machine where you should be able to import it.

Re: Importing emails into Windows Mail from Outlook

Hello All,

I have been using Outlook at the office all the time. But recently I left
the company and had brought back a private outlook file that I would like to
keep some of my communications with friends.

Could anyone here help share how do I transfer a outlook data file to
windows mail.

Thank you.

Re: Importing emails into Windows Mail from Outlook

If you have the .pst file, then you need to have Outlook installed in order
to transfer the data to Windows Mail.

Re: Importing emails into Windows Mail from Outlook

If you don't have a copy of Outlook, you can download a free
trial copy of Office 2007 which includes Outlook:
