| | Importing from Outlook to Windows Mail I have just moved to a new pc and moved all my files from the old system to the new using the Easy transfer capabilitites of Vista. Both pc's have vista. On the old system I was using Outlook and with the transfer the new system is using Windows Mail. I have having problems importing the messages and contacts from the system using Outlook to Windows Mail. When I attempt to import to Windows Mail, I get a MAPI error and the import fails. What am I doing wrong. -- Mike |

| | Re: Importing from Outlook to Windows Mail To directly import Outlook messages into Windows Mail, you have to have Outlook installed on the Vista computer, and using the .pst file from your old computer. And if you install Outlook, you may as well use it, if it's 2002 or newer. | | Re: Importing from Outlook to Windows Mail If you have Outlook on your older computer, why not install it on the new one? The Office license allows installation on 2 or 3 computers.
