Vista - Retrieve only headers in Windows Mail

I am using Windows Vista's Windows Mail program and I am trying to set up my
email account to only retrieve email headers. I would like to "cherry-pick"
which emails that get downloaded and viewed, rather than downloading all of
them.

Once the headers are shown, I would select which to download, and then
download them to view the full message.

I can do this in Outlook 2002 on my Windows XP machine. Can I do the same
thing in Windows Mail?

No you cannot. Like you said Outlook has this feature but not WM

click on the account (then on the right) where it will list all of you
folders. then right click on one of your folders and go to
synchronization settings. then change to Headers only.
