Transfering Contacts

I just recently acquired a system running VISTA. I am trying to transfer my
existing email addresses from theold XP system running OE7. When I try to
use export|Address Book|Microsoft Exchange Personal Address Book I get a
message that "Either there is no default mail client or the current mail
client cannot fullfill the messaging request. Pl;ease run Outlool and set
iy as the default mail client."

When I click on OK I get the message that the "Address Book export has been
completed." However, I cannot find where it was stored.

If I attempt to use the Text File exportI can importit into the VISTA
maching but it does not includethe Contact Groups and I can't seem to find a
means in the VITA version to assign them to groups.

I would appreciate any ideasasto ho I might accomplish this.

Marv

Re: Transfering Contacts

Exporting to "Microsoft Exchange Personal Address Book" creates a .PAB file
used exclusively by Microsoft Office Outlook which is useless to Vista and
Windows Mail. Exporting to text file is correct, but you have to re-create
the contact groups:
