stuck messages in inbox

Hey! I've got two messages that are stuck in my inbox. Both are listed as
having attachments and are from trusted sources, so I'm not worried about
viruses. I have tried deleting and even moving the messages but the only
thing WinMail tells me is that an unknown error has occurred. I have read
through several blogs and tried a few things but nothing has seemed to help.
Any other suggestions out there? Is microsoft acknowledging this problem
yet?

Tx

Re: stuck messages in inbox

My suggestion would be to upgrade to Windows Live Mail:

Re: stuck messages in inbox

Sorry about the blank response.

If you are not willing to just ignore them, the only way is to delete both
copies of the database (which does not contain the messages, but only
references to them) and let WinMail rebuild it.
First close WinMail, then use Task Manager to make sure there are no
instances of it under applications or processes.
Then click Start | Search | Advanced Search
Check the box to include non-indexed, hidden and system files.
In the Name field type WindowsMail.MSMessageStore and click the Search
button.
It should show you two copies. Delete both of them and re-open WinMail.
WinMail will work in the background and recover all of the messages that are
really there.

RE: stuck messages in inbox

Sometimes the system files can cause funny problems like this, check for
corrupted system files. Go to this Microsoft web site to get full
instructions on how to: - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936212/en-us
