The only Group setting is if you right click anywhere in contact window and
    selection box appears.
Unfortunately it does not give the option to create personal mailing groups.

With Contacts open, right-click in an open area of that screen, select
Customize This Folder, then change the template type to Contacts.
You should only have to do this once.

    RE: Groups in Contact Lists

Related to what John said, when the Windows Mail panel is visible (with the
navigation bars on the left side), how do I display my contact list of names
on the left side also? I was able to easily do this with Outlook Express,
but can't figure out how to do it with Windows Mail. Any suggestions? Thank
    you.

This question was answered yesterday when you tagged to another thread with
    an 'unrelated question'.

Since you appear to be having difficulty finding replies to you messages,
    try this link:

I have tried your suggestion garry about clicking on an open section with the
Contacts list open. But nothing happens!

    Re: Groups in Contact Lists

When you open Contacts, there should be buttons for New Contact, New Contact
    Group, Import and Export.

If you don't have these, Vista has probably changed the folder template.

Right-click on a blank area of the right pane, and select "Customize this
    folder"
in the pull-down box, select "Contacts"
    ok

    Hi Elaine,

See the "How to Choose a Folder Template" section in this tutorial. It will show you how to do this with screenshots to help guide you. Just select "Contacts" for your problem.
