Windows Media Player should handle WMV and MPG files. See http://Yenc.org for more on YenC. |

I am trying to help you! (and making progress.) See... http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm > hmmm because when i click on the file all i get is a very very long > letter > with a bunch of numbers, letters and/or symbols but no attachment, thats > why That's a bit more helpful. WMV and MPG files are often too large to be sent to newsgroup as one complete file and are sent as a number of parts. A single part of a multipart file will look exactly as you describe. It is likely that there are other parts to download and when you have them all you then combine and decode them which produces the original file. Check if there are other parts to the file. They are often identified by having the same name apart from a (nn,nn) representing, (part number of number of parts) Make sure you have downloaded all the parts, highlight (select) them, then run a combine and decode. > > "Julian" wrote: > >> >> >> "bgjon56" <bgjon56@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message >> news 8635253-154A-447F-AC17-00489AFB4F59@microsoft.com...>> > my windows player does play the wmv and mpg files, the problem is that >> > i >> > am >> > not able to download the wmv or mpg file from any newsgroup >> >> Why not?
