Vista - Windows Mail Very Slow

Hi everyone
I hope someone can help when i open windows mail it takes a long time to
open, then when i click on an e mail that to takes a while to open about 15
seconds.
It has only started to do this up to now i have ran spybot search & destroy,
norton 360 and windows live one care scans all where clean.
yet after a phone call to talktalk they said i had spyware they told me to
enter in the search box "cmd" then "netstat -a" and it came up with a list of
ip addys last few numbers where different and all had listening in the last
column, also i have ran task manager and in process there is a list of about
60 running.
yet with all this the rest of the pc is running fine just the email has gone
slow
I can't put adware se on yet as it is not vista compatable as yet.
Please can someone help & keep it simple in step by step instructions please

Try opening Windows Calendar and closing it.

Also, try closing SpyBot.

I don't know. I don't have it installed anymore. I don't think I ever
installed it on this machine.

Frank i have just been told that someone else's mail is running slow and they
thing it is the update for the junk mail KB 90586 can i delete this update
and will it do any harm?? thanks agian

Before you try that, try this fix:
Windows Mail Slow

If that doesn't fix it, undo Spybot's immunize option.

I think i have solved the problem there was an update for junk mail in
windows mail KB905866 i deleted this last night after someone told me about
it and today everything is running fine. (touch wood)
