| | Re: Still cannot send email out Outgoing email goes to the Outbox first and then should go to your email provider's outgoing email server. Download and install this fix with Windows Mail not running: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090 If you don't know whether to use the 32-bit version or the 64-bit version, try the 32-bit version first. Although it's labelled as being for messages stuck in the Outbox, it also works on other folders. If you have certain common antivirus programs, such as most of those from Norton or McAfee, the problem is likely to come back, although seldom immediately, in which case installing the same fix again often helps. | | Re: Still cannot send email out Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a computer that is running Windows Vista http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941090 It also works on other folders. After installing that and deleting what's in the Outbox you should be able to send again until your anti-virus screws it up again. If any of them won't move or delete, download and install this fix with Windows Mail not running: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090 Although it's labelled as for messages stuck in the Outbox, it also works in other folders. If you don't know whether to use the 32-bit version or the 64-bit version, try the 32-bit version first. Certain common antivirus programs, such as most of those from Norton or McAfee, or a recent one from Trend, tend to cause such problems, although seldom immediately, so if you have such a program, remember where to find the fix - you are likely to need it again. |

| | Re: Still cannot send email out Thank you so much. This is the second time this has happened and I believe you've helped me both times. Your program is safe, right? I hope so; I downloaded it without thinking of the risks! pbp1960 "Gary VanderMolen" wrote: Quote: > For a stuck message in the outbox, use the Clear Outbox function > of WMUtil: http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil > > Gary VanderMolen > > > "Website for unsent messages" <Websiteforunsentmessages@xxxxxx> wrote in message > news:F272CC71-395C-43E0-A306-ACEE60956E0C@xxxxxx Quote: > > I'm still unable to send messages out, I can receive, but I can't send out, > > they get stuck in my outbox and when I select send/receive option, nothing > > happens. | | Re: Still cannot send email out Yes, it is safe, but it isn't my program. That site identifies Stephen L. Cochran as the author. Anyway, a newer Microsoft fix is now recommended for stuck emails: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941090 That fix has also been incorporated in SP1 for Vista. -- Gary VanderMolen, MS-MVP (WLMail) "coriander22" <coriander22@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:0F21B083-29E6-426F-AEB7-45B7D53ED773@xxxxxx Quote: > Thank you so much. | | Re: Still cannot send email out Its safe. It won't email me your bank account info or anything like that. Some people still write software that fixes, rather than messes up one's computer. steve "coriander22" <coriander22@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:0F21B083-29E6-426F-AEB7-45B7D53ED773@xxxxxx Quote: > Thank you so much.
