save an email draft when an attachment file is opened

In Window Mail now, I could not save a mail draft when my attachment excel
file is opened.
I could save it only when I closed this excel file.
It wont happen like that in Outlook Express when I used to work in XP
Any helps or what I was missing.
Thanks.

Re: save an email draft when an attachment file is opened

Nothing is missing.
Vista has a much tighter security profile than Windows XP.
This affects the handling of attachments.
