Hi all

I've been have been having similar problems to other readers here about
sending e-mail and coming up with the 0x800CCC19 error message.

I too am running Windows Mail on Windows Vista and I too have read all the
forums and advice with no success.

But I did find a solution that works!

Believe it or not, my problem, and it may be yours, was the 'TCP/IP
Auto-tuning' within Vista. Nothing to do with e-mail settings.

Try this (and I am pasting from the message board that helped me):
--------------------------------------
1. Go to the Vista start menu and type cmd
2. The search results will display a program titled cmd
3. Right-click on the link and select "Run as administrator"
4. type "netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=disabled" without
the quotatioin marks
5. Test your POP account and see if you can now download your mail.
6. If nothing changes, re-enable the autotuning feature by typing
"netsh interface tcp set global autotuning=normal"
------------------------------------

This worked for me.
