Importing OE6 messages--McAfee

If you have McAfee email antivirus, you only need to disable it just prior to
importing. As has been discussed, if you don't do this, you will get a
message saying there are no messages in the folders you are trying to
transfer. Also, I saw I had a folder with a "(1)" after it. I thought I
needed to get rid of the "(1)" but that caused the transfer not to work even
though the display showed the messages from that folder being transferred.
When I had recopied the original folder with all the exported folders, I
noticed that there were several "search" files with (1), (2), etc. after the
names. I successfully deleted those extra files with with the same name. When
I transferred all the folders (dbx files), they were placed as subfolders in
a new folder called "Imported Folders." In order to put the messages in the
regular Local Folders (Inbox, Sent Items, etc.), I just went into each
imported folder, copied the files using Control-A, Control-C shortcut and
pasted them (Control-V) into the corresponding folder. I did not delete the
main folders in Local Folders because I was afraid that might cause a
problem. After finishing this, I deleted the "Imported Folders." I am
grateful to Microsoft community for the information I found here.
