| | Re: WinMail and PDFs Rainald, May be you need to change the (default) value data here, as well. [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AcroExch.Document.7\shell\open\command] And, make sure you backup the key (by exporting it to a REG file) before modifying the contents. -- Regards, Ramesh Srinivasan, Microsoft MVP [Windows Shell/User] Windows® Troubleshooting http://www.winhelponline.com "Rainald Taesler" <taesler@gmx.de> wrote in message news:782F09FD-D38E-4B4C-B711-37B3BE3272CE@microsoft.com... But the results were as before. Meanwhile I've got it. Hurrah! In WinMail as well as when opening a PDF by double-clicking the Reader comes up. In case Acrobat is open, Wimail as well as opening a document calls Acrobat. Thanks a million for your continuous efforts Rainald P.S. As a feedback the relevant settings: a) "UserChoice" deleted in [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\F ileExts\.pdf] b) Reader set as application in aa) [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AcroExch.Document\shell\open\command] @="\"C:\\Program Files\\Adobe\\Reader 8.0\\Reader\\AcroRd32.exe\" \"%1\"" bb) [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AcroExch.Document.7\shell\Open\command] @="\"C:\\Program Files\\Adobe\\Reader 8.0\\Reader\\AcroRd32.exe\" \"%1\"" |
