| | Windows Mail constantly stops working Windows Mail is constantly stopping on me. If I close the program and re-open, it typically works fine. However, there are many times when it won't let me do something simple (like, say, moving an e-mail from one folder to another). Sometimes shutting the program down and re-opening helps this problem; sometimes not. Anyone have an idea? Mnooskie |

This is a redundant feature that can corrupt Windows Mail. Plus, you will still be protected by your antivirus's real-time resident monitoring protection. Norton and McAfee seem to be the worst offenders with Windows Mail problems even with email scanning off, while Avast or AVG has not had any problems reported so far. Avast - http://avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html AVG - http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/us/frt/0?prd=aff Or You could switch to Windows Live Mail. It is better and supports website email. Windows Live Mail Beta Hope this helps, Shawn |

| | Re: Windows Mail constantly stops working It appears to be a common fault with windows mail, it's happened to me since day one. I tried Thunderbird & that ran OK but when googlemail opened their email to all I found that easy to use, & when you get it you can download a notifier which tells you that mail is there & without being intrusive.
