| Guest | Windows Mail Send/Receive Error Hi. I just run into the same problem which I solved once but can't manage to do it again. If I open Windows Mail the program sends and receives mail automatically. Then if I click on Send/Receive again it comes up with an error but no error details. If I click the small arrow to the right of Send/receive and choose Receive All it works but not if I just hit Send/Receive. Does anybody got an idea how to get rid of this error. I had this with Ultimate and now with Home Premium, so it's some kind of a bug in Windows Mail I guess. Thanks in advance for any help with this. Tommy |

| Guest | Re: Windows Mail Send/Receive Error This problem may be caused by your antivirus program. Windows Mail is incompatible with most McAfee and Norton antivirus programs. If you are using either of those two, it is best to uninstall it and replace it with a more compatible antivirus, such as the free version of Avast: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html Gary VanderMolen "Tommy" <Tommy@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:9BB66B29-89B0-46C8-9ADF-F82D33B8AD87@microsoft.com... > Hi. > > I just run into the same problem which I solved once but can't manage to do > it again. > If I open Windows Mail the program sends and receives mail automatically. > Then if I click on Send/Receive again it comes up with an error but no error > details. > If I click the small arrow to the right of Send/receive and choose Receive > All it works but not if I just hit Send/Receive. > Does anybody got an idea how to get rid of this error. > I had this with Ultimate and now with Home Premium, so it's some kind of a > bug in Windows Mail I guess. > > Thanks in advance for any help with this. > > Tommy |
