It should fix the problem since WLM uses a different Contacts database. http://get.live.com/betas/maildesktop_betas Gary VanderMolen "Kay H" <Kay H@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E26DE70A-0B39-4519-9303-3ACDF6C6D0A9@microsoft.com... > After reading previous answers to the above, I removed update KB933928 and > all contacts were restored. Therefore, it is just one of the webmail like gmail and is not a replacement for WM where I can run it off line. Am I correct or I miss something? Thanks for your help. Lungfa |

| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: unable to choose recipients I have encountered the same problem, and have download and install WML as you have recommended. To use WML, it requests me to sign into hotmail.com. Therefore, it is just one of the webmail like gmail and is not a replacement for WM where I can run it off line. Am I correct or I miss something? Thanks for your help. Lungfa Windows Live Mail Beta (WLM) will support Pop3, IMAP, HTTP website (EX: Hotmail) email, and is a lot more stable. WLM will automatically import Windows Mail messages, accounts, and settings into it. Contacts will have to be manually imported. (Tools, Contacts, File, Import, Address book for current Windows User.) For US and UK: http://get.live.com/betas/maildesktop_betas For non-US and non-UK locations (direct download): http://g.live.com/1rebeta/WLM_en-us If you do have a Hotmail account or have a Windows Live ID, then it probably is asking for this to setup the account for use in WLM. Am I correct or I miss something? > Thanks for your help. and is desirable only if you want to synchronize your Hotmail contacts with your Windows Live Mail contacts. The login can be declined, and you can disable it permanently by going to Tools, Options, Connection. Are you seeing any of your POP accounts in the folder list on the left? WLM should have imported those automatically from WM. If not, you can add POP accounts the same way you did in WM. -- Gary VanderMolen |
