Windows Mail

I have configured windows mail with my ISP whis BT internet. I has been
working correctly but sunndently will not send/receive mail. I can still
retrieve and send mail via the Web-site and can access my Emails using
outlook express on a lap-top using windows XP

Any ideas why this has happened?

BT changed the sending port (SMTP) to 587 without telling anybody.

It shouldn't affect receiving mail though so that might be
an incompatible antivirus software problem.

If you are using Norton or McAfee they need to be uninstalled entirely
and replaced with a compatible suite such as Avast.

Note. disable or do not install the email scanning component
since it is superfluous.
