I have had the same problem with word aND EXCEL.. I FOUND THAT YOU MUST CLOSE
THE DOCUMENT BEFORE INSERT IT INTO AN EMAIL IN wINDOWS mAIL.

Oh my G! That's all there was to to it in my case. It had been saved but was
still open in Word. I suppose they (Microsoft) may have done that to prevent
you from sending an older version of your document. At any rate, Thank you,
