| | How do I get my email configured correctly? Whenever I try to send an email, I get this message. I'm pretty sure it's because of something I have done, but how do I fix it? No emails ever go out. Thanks The host 'microsoft' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Subject 'Emailing: What Book Got You Hooked - Thanks for Voting!', Account: 'windows mail', Server: 'microsoft', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D |

It should be something like smtp.xxxxxx.com where xxxxxxxx is the internet service providers name or some such. Post bask you ISP name if you're not sure. Then put it in... Tools > Accounts > your email > Properties > Servers > Outgoing mail SMTP > instead of microsoft. While you are there you should check that you haven't put the wrong POP3 server name in as well. It should be something lke pop.xxxxxxx.com Please confirm if this fix works so the issue can be closed. |

| | Re: How do I get my email configured correctly? Go to Tools, Accounts, select the account, Properties, Servers. Change the server name to mail.bellsouth.net for both the incoming and outgoing mail servers.
