| | Re: Cannot Send Mail Using Windows Live Mail Windows Mail is not compatible with some antivirus programs. Make sure you are not running a non-compatible antivirus program like Norton or McAfee. Those should be uninstalled and replaced with a compatible antivirus like the free version of Avast: http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html Gary VanderMolen "Tony" <tcawton@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:20365AB8-86FC-455A-B3B2-AC26BBEF38E6@microsoft.com... > Hi, I keep getting the following error message. | | Re: Cannot Send Mail Using Windows Live Mail I was hoping the fix would be easy, but it doesn't look like it. If we take the error message at face value, either A. Your Windows Mail is sending non-standard data, or B. The mail.btinternet.com server is misinterpreting data sent by your Windows Mail as non-standard. Frankly, neither one of those two possibilities is very likely. The only thing left to try is some other combinations: 1. Try sending through a different SMTP server. 2. Try sending from a different PC. 3. Try a different email program.
