slow response in windows mail

When I open Windows Mail, the response has suddenly gotten very slow. I'll
click on a message, and many seconds will pass before the message opens. But
if I leave the program open for a while, response speeds up. I have cleaned
out all my folders, and I only have about a dozen messages in my inbox, so
it's not overloaded. Program recently gave me the compacting message, so
that's done recently. Anyone know why the response has slowed down?

thanx

Re: slow response in windows mail

The registry fix worked. Thank you. This looks like a fix for a 64-bit
system. It's ok on my 32-bit Vista?

Re: slow response in windows mail

Are you using SpywareBlaster? Or installed any other software or REG file that adds rogue sites to the "Restricted Sites" list in IE, as a security measure? If so, see this page for a solution:

Re: slow response in windows mail

It's been successfully used by many 32-bit Vista users.
In spite of the site name, most of the fixes there apply to 32-bit systems.
