Why not have separate newsgroups for WLMD and Windows Mail?

It's confusing enough to have multiple products with overlapping
functionality; just plain annoying to have to sift through messages about
one product when trying to find information about the other.

You won't get any argument from me, and I suspect all others attempting to help
and share here are of the same mind. It is confusing, to say the least. However,
we'll deal with it.

And add to that the confusion over names.

Adding to that is the fact that every time I see "WLMD" I think the post has
gone political and is talking about another kind of "Weapon of Mass
Destruction"! <s>

The MVPs have complained about it, and they are going to do nothing as
usual.

When I heard OE was changed to Windows Mail I rejoiced that the confusion
over Outlook Express and Outlook would end. I guess I was premature in my
rejoicing.

Re: Why not have separate newsgroups for WLMD and Windows Mail?

Well, I think the MS programmers should switch to using another language.
There must be a lot of languages available with more words than English.
Using that multi-worded language there would be so many new ways to name
things so we would not have had to deal with OUTLOOK and OUTLOOK Express,
Windows EXPLORER and Internet EXPLORER (and now with Vista, how many other
EXPLORERS). Maybe we could even find a better word than "click". Mine
doesn't actually make any noise. We could even have separate words for
right click and left click so it wouldn't be necessary to specify that when
you are working with a Windows neophyte over the telephone and attempting to
help them solve a problem. Maybe a left click could be "push" and a right
click could be "shove".
