Vista - Cannot send or receive e-mail -- error message

I cannot send or receive e-mail. I get the following error message:
The host 'smtp.threegservices.com' could not be found. Please verify that
you have entered the server name correctly.
Subject 'Bethel Road #32', Account: 'mail.threegservices.com', Server:
'smtp.threegservices.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket
Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

Please help. Thanks!

You need to contact your service provider for the correct settings for your
account.
Who is your ISP I can find nothing remotely similar to threegservices.com?

2 possibilities that I know of.

(1) Your SMTP port is incorrect for your outgoing emails
(2) Your Anti Virus is set to scan incoming and outgoing emails. Disable this feature. Your resident AV will still be protecting you

at homestead.com, do you know if they have a website?
Has your account ever worked?
If it has suddenly stopped working, the server of your ISP could be
experiencing a temporary problem?
Do you have anti virus software set to scan mail?

My e-mail was working until two days ago and then it stopped. I haven't
changed my SMTP port. My e-mail scan is already disabled.

Hi mac. The website is www.homestead.com. My account worked until 2 days ago.
I disabled my anti virus software that was scanning my e-mail months ago,
because I could not send or receive e-mail. I have placed a help ticket with
homestead also.

For some AV's such as Norton or McAffe disabling isn't enough.
They need to be uninstalled and replaced with a Vista compatible alternative
such as the free Avast or AVG. Even then, with scanning disabled, you
may need to delete and recreate your email account in WM.

Homestead doesn't provide Internet service. They are your web host.
Who provides your Internet service?
I can give you a workaround for this problem if you tell me who your ISP is.
