| | How do I restore a deleted email directory My daughter has somehow managed to completely delete her email folder from my inbox containing all of her emails over the past couple of months and I do not have a backup. It was a sub directory under inbox and it is not in the deleted folder or anywhere else on the brach listing in Microsoft Mail (vista). Is this now a completely lost cause or is there anywhere else this may have gone or an archive of sorts in vista that I could look for. We have no idea how she managedto do this. |

If it is not in the "Deleted Items" folder, then it most likely is gone forever. It could of been done accidentally by: 1. Dragging the folder into the "Deleted Items" folder. 2. Had the folder highlighted and clicked "Delete" in the Edit menu. 3. Right click the folder and clicked "Delete". etc... If you had the "Automatically empty 'Deleted Items' folder on exit" checked, then it would of been permanently deleted apon closing Windows Mail. It could of also just been manually deleted from "Deleted Items" by accident to. Sorry, Shawn |

| | Re: How do I restore a deleted email directory You can try searching for *.eml and maybe you'll find it, but I suspect its gone.
