Attaching an email received to an email outgoing

Julian, thank you for your help about attaching items to an email but how do
you go about attaching an email or part of an email to an out-going email as
when you click on the 'Attach' button and then 'Computer' on the left side
and then on 'Programs' or 'Windows' Windows Mail does not appear as one of
the choices. My OS is Vista.

'Pictures' or 'Documents' works fine but no 'Windows Mail'.

You can attach an email by selecting
userid/Appdata/Local/Microsoft/Windows Mail/Local Folders/Inbox
as the attach source folder, but identifying the particular email
you want to attach is tricky since the file names aren't very
helpful, the date modified is the only remotely useful thing to
select the email.

Wouldn't the "forward" function combined with cut and paste
do what you want?

Re: Attaching an email received to an email outgoing

The forward function only works for one email at a time what I am trying to
do is send more than one received email as an attachment in an outgoing email.

Any suggestions?

Apart from cut and paste...

Install the free and very efficient search utility Locate32
http://www.uku.fi/~jmhuttun/

Then you can search for the actual files that correspond to particular
emails
(locate32 has a good "file containing text" facility) in
userid/Appdata/Local/Microsoft/Windows Mail/Local Folders/Inbox
(or whatever)
Once located simply attach the files as you would any pics or docs.

It sounds a hassle but once you had Locate32 installed
it would be a quick and easy process.

Save the emails that you want to attach somewhere on your H/D
then you can browse to them and attach them. Insert/File Attachment..

Start a new message. Then right click on the message in WinMail's message
list and drag it to the new message and drop it and it will be attached.
