| | Mail connection I hope someone can help me. I am in a remote area in Thailand using a webmail server in my local area at home. I have talked to them about setting my email acct to connect to their service and have followed their instructions. Problem is this...I am connected thru ADSL, while I am connected, I try to send or receive out of Windows Mail (Vista) and it prompts me to connect to the internet requiring user name and password. Without being able to connect, it won't allow sending or receiving. I used to have to connect like this at another location, but not now. How do I disable the need to connect when I am already connected? I have been at this for a while. |

Go to tools>accounts>select account>properties>connections tab>remove checkmark from 'always connect using'>apply/ok. Also open Internet Explorer>internet options>connections>and set it to 'never dial a connection'>apply/OK Get back here if not? -- Regards Steve. MS-MVP. OE. [DTS] UK |
